Welcome to our website of Recreation Company De Maashoeve.

We are the Heijneman family and have been the new owners of Recreation Company De Maashoeve since January 15, 2022

in the beautiful central Limburg Ohé en Laak.

As a family, we've been active in the camping world since 1991. From that year until the end of 2021, we owned a campsite in Vierhouten (Gelderland), where we enjoyed working and met wonderful guests. After almost 30 years, it was time to make new plans for the future for us and our son, Fritz Heijneman JR. On June 5, 2021, we saw this beautiful business owned by Ruud and Ina for sale, and something told us we had to take a look. We heard nothing but praise for the campsite and its guests, so yes, we were sold and immediately fell in love with the area and its beautiful location in central Limburg.

Okay, the dialect of the friendly Limburgers will probably take a year or so for us, born and bred Amsterdammers, to master. So, we're busy with the Limburgish for beginners course that our friends send us. We're taking this very seriously, of course.

Then, of course, we get the question: why leave your old company after 30 years? Well...

At our campsite in Vierhouten, we also had a bistro on the campsite itself, where we worked over 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. After 30 years, my body wasn't ready to accept working 80 hours or more. We looked for a recreational business without a hospitality industry where we could gradually work towards retirement, and our son could take over when the time came.

If you, as loyal guests of Camping de Maashoeve, have any questions, you can find us at reception during opening hours. We'll be happy to have a cup of coffee or tea at the desk during our introductory meeting, or just for a chat. You're always welcome!

We hope to see you soon at the Maashoeve and have a wonderful time together with many pleasant and beautiful days at the campsite or the apartments.
